OMG, what a pity the loss of a big part of your garden.
Luckily, it seems to be recovering thanks to the good care of you.
I love roses, but when I try to grow them in a pot or even in the garden, they don't survive.
I've no luck with roses and I'm sorry about that.

BTW I love the color of your rose.

Spring again and still the statewide drought has a big impact; however, over the last couple of days in Sydney we have had 110mms of good soaking rain, it has snowed in the Blue Mountains and Southern Highlands but the farmers in the central west and north east plains got nothing.

Still cloudy and some rain but I took some snaps in the garden this afternoon; an old gold grevillea, the hardenbergia ground cover and of course the lorikeet feeding in the bottle brush tree ...

Pat - thank you, but that is nature not me :)

Tried to get a shot of a flock of lorikeets in the callistemon (bottle brush) but as soon as they saw me they flew off. Anyway here is the tree on a misty, cloudy morning.

Half way throu8gh spring and everything is blooming. Some photos shot in the early morning light - first is a striking flower from a bromeliad, one of the many I am looking after for my daughter! The rest are of course grevilleas, my favourites and as a reference point, these flowers are about the size of my hand.

I just have to keep saying it. Your garden is spectacular. You should be visited by one of those magazines that display some of the most beautiful gardens in the area! It is so obvious that you put a lot of time, effort and love to that garden.
