What is the best font manager to use in Gimp?
I use the - FontBase -, but in Gimp it does not work.
My system is Windows..

I do not know if it is the best, but many of us use Ofnuts Add on CollectionsManager
http://gimp-tools.sourceforge.net/managementtools.shtml
https://www.gimp-forum.net/Thread-Addon ... r-Problems

It also manages brushes, fonts, dynamics, gradients, palettes, patterns, and scripts.

Are you trying to remove the many fonts from windows for languages that will never be used by you?
I spend hours trying, including gaining permissions removing the files, removing the windows backup files,
editing the registry and removing all the things I could search for. Still have not been able to rid
them from the windows (all NT and newer have same).
Other than that, I keep fonts that I am using in the fonts directory, if they are low use fonts I may want sometime
I just keep them as a .zip file.

If you find out how to remove the windows fonts please let me know!

Brian, there is probably a shorter way to do this. I remember a discussion on GimpChat but I could not find it, Wallace might remember. I did find this way at "Wiki How".

Don't know if you ever found a solution to using FontBase with GIMP, but this thread was the top result and I did find a solution so I thought I should share.

In GIMP Preferences -> Folders -> Fonts I added the directory that FontBase uses for it's active fonts. In Windows this is C:/Users/USERNAME/FontBase. Then it showed up when I activated it.
